It has long been my firm belief that ancient philosophy has much to teach executives. Had we not ignored it, we might have avoided many problems.
Previously I have also argued philosophy should be a core module on all courses taught in business schools. But, to ensure today’s business leaders can benefit from it, I am developing Philosophy in Management courses as an executive education program. They will be offered by the Enlightened Enterprise Academy.
Now I can announce plans for a Philosophy in Management Study Tour to Greece. It is with great pleasure I can announce the first Tour will take place over the week of 25th April to 2nd May 2021.
Beginning and ending in Athens, the tour will include visits to other important historical sites including Delphi and Sparta. And the tour will also include a 3-day island-hopping sail on an elegant Yacht.
Whilst the tour will be a relaxing break it will also include a number of short lectures and plenty of time for discussion with the experts, and among the group. Interest has already been expressed by senior people curious about philosophy in management from business, finance, governance and strategy, and by professors from leading business schools.
Now I am also very proud to also announce the philosopher joining us on the tour is Mary Margaret McCabe, FBA, known as M. M. McCabe She is Emerita Professor of Ancient Philosophy at King’s College London and has authored a number of books on Plato, plus published work on other ancient philosophers, including the pre-Socratics, Socrates and Aristotle.
